Pensacola, FL Job Description The Therapy Technician works under the direct supervision of the licensed therapist, assisting in the treatment and care of the patient and provides non-skilled supportive services to the patient. The Therapy Technician will receive on-the-job training and must be fully competent in all performed duties. Responsibilities Responsible for following all hospital and department precautions and procedures in the performance of job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
Assists with patient transport and patient care activities under the direct supervision of licensed clinical staff.
Obtains equipment needed for patient care delivery.
Maintains work area and equipment in condition required by department standards.
Additional responsibilities as directed by the licensed clinical staff and/or department manager.
Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job related hazards.
Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization.
May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters. Qualifications Minimum Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to seek and accept direction and clarification from others.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
Knowledge of basic computer skills.
Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information.
