Required Qualifications:

• One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
• ValidRadiology license in compliance with state regulations
• CurrentBLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications:

• CurrentARRT Certification
• Other certifications and licenses may berequired for this position

Summary:

The CT Tech operatescomputerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectionalimages of patients’ bodies for diagnostic purposes. They preparepatients for the procedure, position patients with considerationsfor safety and image accuracy, ensure proper imaging protocols arefollowed, and work closely with radiologists to obtain high-qualityimages for accurate diagnosis. CT Techs also maintain equipment,keep patient records, and follow safety procedures to minimizeradiation exposure and provide compassionate care to patientsthroughout the imaging process.

Essential Work Functions:

• OperateCT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs,and tissue for diagnostic purposes
• Prepare patients forprocedures, explain imaging process, and position patientsappropriately
• Set appropriate technical parameters to accuratelydemonstrate anatomy and pathology
• Provide high-quality images toRadiologist for interpretation
• Adhere to radiation safetystandards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipmentto ensure proper functionality
• Document patient information,imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in thehospital’s system
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, andother healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnosticservices
• Ability to adapt to different CT equipment and protocolsacross various healthcare facilities
• Perform other duties asassigned within the scope of CT Tech practice

Required EssentialSkills:

• Critical thinking, service excellence and goodinterpersonal communication skills
• The ability to read, write, &communicate in the English language is required
• Ability toread/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions,and proficiency in PC skills
• Physical Abilities
• Remain in astationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs),pushing, pulling, bending
• Interpersonal Skills
• To workeffectively with a variety of personnel (professional andancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
• Technical/Motor Skills
• Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment.
• Mental Requirements
• Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the generalpublic, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must beable to work under close supervision occasionally as well asworking without assistance from other personnel. Must be able tocontend with irregular activity schedules occasionally andcontinuous concentration to detail
