Travel We are looking for a ComputedTomography Technologist (CT Tech) for an immediate travel openingin Brandon, FL. The right CT Tech must have 1 year of experience.
Read below for additional requirements. As a CT Tech, you will beresponsible for the use of computed tomography equipment andensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians formedical interpretation. CT Techs are also responsible for thepreparation of and caring for patients undergoing CT scanning.
Tasks As a CT Tech, you should be prepared to perform the followingtasks: Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests andexplain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance andsupport as required Correctly interpret doctors’ writteninstructions Appropriately position patients to scan specific areasof their bodies Use computerized tomography equipment to capturediagnostic images of patients’ internal organs and tissuesAdminister radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance thevisibility of internal organs and tissues Evaluate CT scans todetermine whether they are of good technical quality Follow safetyprocedures when working with radiation Maintain accurate patientrecords Understand and use the McKesson PACS system RequirementsMust have 1 year of experience. BLS, ARRT
(CT) NationalCertification with registration in computed tomography, andstate-specific licensing when required. CT Techs should be able tostand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoopeasily. CT Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy,physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
