As an MRI Technologist under thedirection of a radiologist, duties will include but are not limitedto: Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI andassociated equipment Obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films aresubmitted for interpretation Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technicalfactors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepareand administer the appropriate contrast material Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuringmodesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devicesindicated Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam,obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within

accurately and on time Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient andother caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist(s) Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness oftable/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagiousdiseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed toprovide optimum patient care Qualifications Registered by theAmerican Registry or Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) LicensedRadiologic Technologist, State of Florida, Department of Health(CRT) 1 year experience preferred Basic Life Support (BLS)certification Organizational, verbal,interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical,grammar/spelling, basic computer, and clerical skills Ability toread/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructionsHCA Florida Brandon Hospital is a 400 bed acute care hospital inBrandon, FL.
