Job Summary and QualificationsWe are currently reviewing applications for a Florida-licensed CTTechnologist on a full-time basis to provide computerized assistedtomographic services to patients as ordered by physicians followingestablished standards and practices under the direction of theradiologist. As a CT Technologist, you will be competent in all ofthe following: brain, total spine, facial, sinus, orbits, thorax,abdomen, pelvis, upper/lower extremities, sella, and biopsies. As a CT Technologist,responsibilities include but are not limited to: Select proper technical factors for study then perform andcomplete diagnostic CT examinations accurately in a caring,compassionate and respectful manner Possess sound and thorough operational knowledge of the CTscanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer,and teleradiology system Assist in the administration of contrast media and otherrelated procedures Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuringmodesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devicesindicated Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam,obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within

accurately and on time Obtain high-quality CT images assuring only optimal images aresubmitted for interpretation Remain proficient in executing software protocols and keep upto date with changes in the field by in-service study, attendingcourses or seminars as necessary/recommended Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient andother caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness oftable/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagiousdiseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessarysupplies Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed toprovide optimum patient careQualifications Completion of a 24-month program in Radiologic Technology at anaccredited, AMA-approved institution ARRT (CT) certification (preferred) Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing,bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting ofpatients/equipment up to 50 lbs.
