JobSummary and Qualifications Interventional Radiology TechnologistRotating call coverage /rotating weekend call required. We areseeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist on a full-timebasis. You will operate medical diagnostic imaging equipment andassist in imaging procedures such as angiography and cardiaccatheterization, as well as those performed in the InterventionalRadiology (IR) Lab (scrubbing, circulating, andrecording/monitoring patient status). Interventional RadiologyTechnologist responsibilities include but are not limited to: Demonstrate accountability and responsibility and performsprocedures and care in a caring, compassionate, and respectfulmanner Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe,competent manner in accordance with established operatingprocedures Accurately perform technical radiographic procedures inaccordance with established operating procedures and routines Assist in administration of contrast media in accordance withdepartmental policy and procedure Obtain high-quality radiographic images and review quality ofradiographs to ensure quality standards have been met Obtain and document all pertinent patient information prior toexam, i.e., patient history, pregnancy, allergies and obtainsinformed consent Maintain effective communication with patient providingexplanation of procedures within scope of practice as well as withcaregiver colleagues to include radiologists Responsible for rotating call assignments Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology from a 2-yearAMA-approved school Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) Current ARRT credential; RCIS credential also considered inconjunction with minimum Interventional Radiology (IR)experience Minimum of 1-3 years licensed experience in Radiology toinclude at least one (1) year of IR experience Angio, Peripheral and Neuro experience a plus BLS required andACLS required within 6 months of hire HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a383-bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL.
