South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is a thriving, private orthopaedic practice serving patients all along the Treasure Coast. As our practice continues to grow, we have new radiology opportunities available. The X-Ray Technologist captures diagnostic imaging related to orthopaedic injuries, including pediatric patients. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a general knowledge of anatomy and deliver quality images while demonstrating proper radiation safety practices. The X-Ray Technologist demonstrates and promotes a friendly, professional atmosphere for patients and co-workers. We are a very busy practice where it is critical to demonstrate patience and composure during increased patient volumes while always delivering superior patient care and services. Hours Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Shifts will be assigned in our Stuart and Port St. Lucie offices. Must be able to travel for occasional coverage in our Hobe Sound office. Saturday rotation, approximately every 5 weeks, to cover Ortho Injury Walk-In Clinic in Tradition.
Requirements:
Must be licensed in Florida and ARRT certified. Must be flexible in scheduling availability and able to work a variety of shifts. Friendly, professional, organized, patient-focused and accustomed to working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Must be able to perform routine X-Ray exams. Flexibility in scheduling is required. Reliability and dependability are essential.
Physical Demands:
Use of digital equipment – X-ray and PACs, and general office equipment Standing and walking for extended periods of time. Lifting, pulling, and stooping when assisting patients up to 300 lbs. Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
