The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays scans, and other imaging modalities. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology, as well as the ability to work in fast-paced environments such as urgent care and emergency medicine settings. The X-ray Technician will play a crucial role in patient care by providing accurate diagnostic evaluations to assist in the treatment process. Responsibilities Perform X-ray examinations and other imaging procedures as ordered by physicians. Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures. Maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions. Assist in the positioning of patients to obtain the best possible images. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret diagnostic results. Maintain accurate records of patient information and imaging results. Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures at all times. Stay updated on advancements in imaging technology and techniques. Requirements Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program. Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology is essential. Experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or similar settings is preferred. Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques, including scans, sonography, and nuclear medicine. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
