X-Ray Technician 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Miami, FL 33134 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and potentially other modalities such as PET scans and mammography, in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role is essential in supporting patient care within our Level I and Level II Trauma Centers, particularly in emergency medicine settings. The X-ray Technician will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnostic evaluations. Duties Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Operate imaging equipment proficiently, including advanced modalities such as PET scans and mammography. Collaborate with medical staff in the Emergency Room to provide timely imaging services for trauma cases. Maintain accurate records of procedures performed, including patient history and imaging results. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations related to medical imaging. Assist in the training of new staff or interns on imaging techniques and equipment operation. Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and procedures. Requirements Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited institution. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic imaging. Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is preferred. Familiarity with emergency medicine practices is a plus. Proficiency in performing diagnostic evaluations using various imaging modalities. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members.
