• We are already oneof the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing serviceexcellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatientseach year /n /n/n /n/n /n The role you’ll contribute: /n /n Undergeneral supervision, primary duties include imaging both neuro andbody scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following the agespecific guidelines of the facilities parameters, transmittingimages for diagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospitalcomputer system up to date with the progress of these exams.

The CTtechnologist actively participates in outstanding customer serviceand accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that areequally respectful to all, while implementing the principles of thefacility. /n /n/n /n The value you’ll bring to the team: /n /n/n/n/n /n

• Performs all exams using established protocols. Usesfacility policy for proper identification of patient prior toperforming exam. Educates patient concerning exam. Properly screenspatients for any contrast allergies /n /n
• Completes all exams ina timely manner, keeps work flow moving, and minimizes empty tabletime. Follows through after completing exam with communication andtransportation of patients /n /n
• Performs all types of imagingprocedures and operates all equipment safely and properly includingscanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment. Demonstratesthe knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients on all ages,adapting protocols as necessary /n /n
• Properly screens patientsof childbearing age, and operates all imaging equipment in a safemanner minimizing radiation exposure to patients, families, andco-workers.

Practices infection control standards, and utilizesapproved PPE and disinfectant agents. Maintains properly stocked,organized and clean room. Performs vendor required QA on CTscanners. Employee job duties may include transport ofpharmaceutical waste from the point of generation to a designatedsecure storage area. Employee will be required to complete initialtraining (prior to handling pharmaceutical waste) to include properhandling and transport of pharmaceutical waste, and properselection, use and disposal of personal protective equipment, ifapplicable /n /n/n /n/n /n Qualifications /n /n The expertise andexperiences you’ll need to succeed: /n /n/n /n/n /n

• Associate orTechnical degree in a related field /n /n
• 2 years hospital-basedclinical Radiology experience /n /n
• ARRT
• American Registry ofRadiologic Technologists /n /n
• Computed Tomography A.R.R.T.(CT)certification if required by facility /n /n
• BCLS
• Basic LifeSupport Required /n /n
• General radiographer state license asrequired by state if required by facility /n /n
• Completion ofradiologic technology training and A.
