Orlando, FL /n /n/n /n The role you’ll contribute: /n /n/n /n TheMRI technologist is under the general supervision of the leadtechnologist, supervisor, manager, director of special imaging, andradiologist. Their primary duties include imaging both neuro andbody scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following the agespecific guidelines of FH parameters, transmitting images fordiagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospital computer systemup to date with the progress of these exams. The MRI technologistactively participates in outstanding customer service and acceptsresponsibility in maintaining relationships that are equallyrespectful to all. /n /n/n /n The value you’ll bring to the team:/n /n/n /n/n /n
- Demonstrates through behavior Florida Hospital’score values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence,Stewardship and Teamwork. /n /n
- Performs all MRI exams using FHMRI protocols. Uses FH policy for proper identification of patientprior to performing exam. Educates patient concerning exam. (Examsupervision and Administration) /n /n
- Completes MRI exams in atimely manner, keeps work flow moving and minimizes empty tabletime. Follows through after completing exam with communication,transportation and discharge of OP’s. (Personal Productivity andAccountability) /n /n
- Operates all equipment safely and properlyincluding scanners, injectors and monitors. Utilizes the knowledgeand skills to perform scans on patients on all ages, adaptingprotocols as necessary. (Clinical Competence) /n /n
- Properlyscreens each patient, visitor, employee who enters the MRI facilityfor contraindications for admission to the magnet room.
Maintainsproperly stocked, organized and clean room. Performs QA on magnetswithin ACR guidelines. Duties may include transport ofpharmaceutical waste from the point of generation to a designatedsecure storage area. Employee will be required to complete initialtraining (prior to handling pharmaceutical waste) to include properhandling and transport of pharmaceutical waste, and properselection, use and disposal of personal protective equipment.(Safety and the Environment of Care) /n /n
- Reviews all images ofall MRI exams, repeating sequences as necessary for best possibleresult. (Image Quality and Documentation) /n /n/n /n/n /n Theexpertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: /n /n/n /nMinimum qualifications : /n /n/n /n
- High School Grad or Equiv /n/n/n /n
- ARRT
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) OR /n /n/n /n
- American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists(ARMRIT) /n /n/n /n
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification /n/n/n /n Preferred qualifications: /n /n/n /n
- Associate’s orBachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field /n /n/n /n
- PriorMRI experience on GE magnets /n /n/n /n
- Prior CT experience /n/n/n /n
