ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs CT procedures at atechnical level not requiring constant supervision of technicaldetail. Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures andaddresses patient concerns. Produces computerized tomographicscanner radiographs of specific areas as required by thedepartmental procedures. Performs CT procedures at a technicallevel not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technicalprocedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detectingpathology. Regulates the equipment used to expose the x-ray film,develops and documents PACS imaging. Operates equipment safely andmaintains SimonMed standards while performing call types ofprocedures. Establishes and maintains a good rapport andprofessional relationship with fellow employees, other departments,and facility staff. Familiar with standard concepts, practices andprocedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan andaccomplish goals. Works under general supervision. Duties asassigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Requires registration as a Certified Radiologic and ComputerizedTomography Technologist by the State Requires registration as an RTand CT Technologist by the A.R.R.T. SimonMed Imaging requires validhands on CPR certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position mayrequire duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds,sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing andwalking.
