Sign-on bonusavailable! Job Summary We’re seeking an adaptable, confident,empathetic Radiology Technologist who is able to provide qualitydiagnostic imaging for patients and providers at Sanford Health.

The Radiologic Technologist is able to work in all atmospheresincluding clinic, hospital, ED, and OR settings where there are abroad range of fields like fluoroscopy, surgery, orthopedics,general, and emergency for the Radiologist Technologist to workunder. One of the characteristics of a Rad Tech at Sanford is theneed for precision, which is important in this line of work becausethe providers need quality imaging to give diagnoses to theirpatients. Sanford Radiology Technologists employees will haveopportunities for advancement into other modalities including CT,MRI, and Mammo. Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic imagingexaminations on patients ensuring the production of qualitydiagnostic images
  • Ensures accurate patient positioning duringradiographic procedures according to provider requests
  • Implementsradiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiationprotection practices during the imaging process
  • Ability tounderstand and navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Perform basic diagnostic radiology tasks and aware of generalradiology protocols
  • Perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram(EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-rayabsorptiometry (DEXA procedures) Qualifications Completion of aneducational program accepted by the American Registry of RadiologicTechnologists (ARRT) is required.

Working knowledge of diagnosticradiographic principles, including radiographic positioning,film/image processing, quality control, and radiation protection isrequired. Registration with the American Registry of RadiologicTechnologists (ARRT) is required. If working in North Dakota andperforming medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures,licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and RadiationTherapy Board (NDMIRT) is required. If working in South Dakota,consideration will be given to registry eligible candidatesobtaining ARRT within six months of hire into position. In thestate of Iowa, all technologists must have a permit to practicethrough the Iowa Department of Public Health in order to practicein the state of Iowa If working at some clinic locations, aCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification may be requiredwithin the first eight weeks of hire into the position. Basic LifeSupport (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment andre-certification as necessary is required. Driver’s license may berequired, dependent upon department.
