Job Summary:
Performs a variety of imaging exams used in thediagnostic treatment of illness and injuries.
Job Responsibilitiesand Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Must work at least 30%of FTE in secondary modality to be eligible for a Multiple Modalityjob. Positions patients and selects anatomic and technicalparameters accurately. Implements radiation protection and safetystandards. Prepares, performs and assists the physician in specialand advanced procedures. Prepares and administers contrast mediaand medications within the accepted scope of practice andapplicable state and federal regulations. Helps position patientsand selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Ensuresall activities comply with regulatory agency standards. Ensuresprompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sentto PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patientdata/history). Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderlydepartment to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressingrooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. Worksin a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Performs otherduties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Associate’s degree or completion of aRadiology certification program or registered in Radiology

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Constantstanding and walking. Frequent use of vision and depth perceptionfor distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information throughoral communication. Frequent use of hearing to distinguish bodysounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequentlifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
Frequent lifting/moving of patients. Frequent reaching, grippingand keyboard use/data entry. Occasional lifting/carrying andpushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Occasional use ofvision to identify and distinguish colors. Occasional bending,stooping, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/armmovements. Rare kneeling and sitting.
