Position Summary:
The position of CT Technician Assistant functions as the primary support to the Clinical Director with the responsibility for a myriad of clinical duties and responsibilities as outlined below.

The CT Technician Assistant reports directly to the Clinical Director.
Flexibility:
While this job description is meant to provide an overview and specific responsibilities of the CT Technician Assistant, ENTA Management reserves the right to make changes, adjustments and revisions, as needed, to this document and will coordinate such modifications with ENTA’s Practice Administrator and Physicians. While the normal work week is 40 hours, you may be subject to overtime (not to exceed 50 hours per week). These hours may vary based on the clinic’s needs. You may at some point be required to travel to other offices if coverage needs arise.
Summary of Duties :
Prints off daily CT schedule from Greenway and ensures each study has an order in Greenway. Calibrates radiology equipment daily/monthly as required. Correctly greet and position each patient for the appropriate procedure; ask MD to make X-ray exposure for each study. Has female patients, age 12-55, sign Pregnancy consent and scans consent into chart. Make sure each CT is sent electronically to the PACS system. Review images sent to PACS for quality and accuracy. Push images to Radiology Partners for external reads when needed. Fill out all orders in Clario and send necessary documentation through DocScan. At the completion of each study, tasks the ordering physician to generate a report. Send list of CT’s done to the radiology company to read. Replace this with Fill out spreadsheets via excel for all CT patients completed each day. Maintain an accurate and updated patient log. Disinfect/clean radiology equipment between patients. Per request of surgical schedulers, burn CT to CD for landmark and ensure delivery to correct surgical center. Per the request of the patient (and with a signed medical release), burn a “Patient View” disc and package for pick-up or delivery to the patient. Record all disc requests in the Disc log for tracking. Provide the Operations Director with list of supplies needed. Notify Operations Director when film badges or any other equipment/mail have arrived to the CT Department. Assist the Clinical Director with updating all procedures and policies to comply with the State of Florida DOH standards of practice. Assist Clinical Director with maintenance of all radiology equipment according to the State of Florida and notify the Operations Director regarding dysfunctional and/or broken equipment. Assist the Operations Director in ensuring an updated State license for all equipment.
Working Environment:
Physical demands: Physically able to assist patients in transferring from wheelchair to the exam chair when necessary. Coordination, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of medical equipment and office equipment as required of the position or directed by the Clinical Manager. Mental capacity is adequate to perform essential functions such as quickly and accurately entering patient demographics and scanning documents while checking in multiple patients. Tact to deal with unfriendly individuals regarding various situations and adequately handle stress.
Working Conditions:

Position Requirements:
High School education or GED equivalent. Health related education or certification. Minimum two years of medical office experience. Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in radiology or associate’s degree in health care related field. Must have own/ or reliable source of transportation due to requirements of potential travel to other offices when/as needed. Working knowledge of general office duties. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good telephone skills. Demonstrated ability to use a computer with Microsoft Word, Outlook and EMR software. Excellent customer service skills. The ability to attend work on a regular basis. The ability to adhere to safety rules and other reasonable regulations pertaining to the job.
