Job Summary and Qualifications We arecurrently seeking a Florida-licensed CT Technologist on a full-timebasis. As a CT Technologist on our team, you will be competent inall of the following: brain, total spine, facial, sinus, orbits,thorax, abdomen, pelvis, upper/lower extremities, sella, andbiopsies. As aCT Technologist at HCA Florida Largo Hospital you will be requiredto do diagnostic x-ray and CT at two (2) off-campus locations(Largo West Hospital on Indian Rocks Road and our
FSER, HCA
FloridaClearwater Emergency ) and will rotate to the Main Campus aswell.
Responsibilities include: Select proper technical factors for study then perform andcomplete diagnostic CT examinations accurately in a caring,compassionate and respectful manner Possess sound and thorough operational knowledge of the CTscanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer,and teleradiology system Assist in the administration of contrast media and otherrelated procedures Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuringmodesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devicesindicated Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam,obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within

accurately and on time Obtain high-quality CT images assuring only optimal images aresubmitted for interpretation Remain proficient in executing software protocols and keep upto date with changes in the field by in-service study, attendingcourses or seminars as necessary/recommended Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient andother caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness oftable/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagiousdiseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessarysupplies Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed toprovide optimum patient care What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days ofemployment start date Registered Radiographer (ARRT) State Registered Radiologic Technician Vocational School Graduate Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist, or RegisteredComputerized Tomography TechnicianHCA Florida Largo Hospital is thepremier healthcare provider in Pinellas County and beyond.
