ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

The MRI Technologist operates the Magnetic Resonanceoperations at SimonMed Imaging centers. Knowledge of magneticresonance imaging procedures and technology Operates a magneticresonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in thediagnosis and treatment of pathologies Selects appropriate imagingtechniques, and operates console and peripheral hardware; entersand monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to magneticmedia to produce the transparency, and develops film in automaticprocessor Obtains images, produces film records and backups fromdisk to storage media, and transfers from desk to PACS stationsMaintains accurate study documentation Performs a variety of tasksA certain degree of creativity and latitude is requiredDemonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skillsappropriate to his/her customer populations and departmentalservices while providing excellent customer service. Utilizes andoperates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for afunctional, effective, and safe environment. Adheres to policies,procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

License/Certification:

Registration as a MR Technologist by theA.R.R.T. or

ARMRIT CPR

certification

Experience:

1 year in fastpaced MRI environment preferred .

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This positionmay require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds,sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing andwalking.
