Position Summary:

CD Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Industrial X-Ray Technician to join the team at our beef processing facility in Center Hill, Florida . This position plays a critical role in ensuring product safety by operating X-ray inspection systems to detect and eliminate foreign materials and non-conformities in packaged meat products. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, safety-minded, and committed to maintaining the highest quality and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate industrial X-ray machines to inspect finished beef products for foreign materials, such as bone, metal, or other contaminants. Monitor X-ray system performance and calibration; report abnormalities to maintenance or QA leadership. Perform regular quality control checks to ensure equipment functionality and inspection accuracy. Maintain accurate inspection and rejection records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. Work closely with quality assurance, production, and maintenance teams to ensure product safety and compliance. Handle suspect or rejected product according to established protocols, including proper documentation and disposition. Follow strict safety procedures for X-ray operation, including radiation safety protocols and PPE usage. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving minor equipment issues; escalate major issues appropriately. Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, HACCP, and company food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and inspection equipment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience with industrial X-ray or inspection equipment in a food processing environment is strongly preferred. Basic knowledge of food safety, foreign material detection, and quality assurance protocols. Ability to operate electronic inspection systems and basic computer skills for logging and reporting. Detail-oriented with the ability to identify defects or anomalies quickly and accurately. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment. Must be willing to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Radiation Safety Training or certification (preferred; training may be provided on the job).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods in cold, wet environments typical of meat processing plants. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally. Must have good vision and attention to detail for prolonged visual inspections. Must be able to wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols.
