One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist Valid Radiology license in compliance with stateregulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications:

Current ARRT Certification Other certifications and licenses may be required for thisposition

Summary:

The CT Tech operates computerized tomography (CT)scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients’ bodies fordiagnostic purposes. They prepare patients for the procedure,position patients with considerations for safety and imageaccuracy, ensure proper imaging protocols are followed, and workclosely with radiologists to obtain high-quality images foraccurate diagnosis. CT Techs also maintain equipment, keep patientrecords, and follow safety procedures to minimize radiationexposure and provide compassionate care to patients throughout theimaging process.

Essential Work Functions:

Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images ofbones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging process, andposition patients appropriately Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrateanatomy and pathology Provide high-quality images to Radiologist forinterpretation Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies toensure patient and staff safety Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipmentto ensure proper functionality Document patient information, imaging parameters, andprocedural details accurately in the hospital’s system Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcareprofessionals to deliver timely diagnostic services Ability to adapt to different CT equipment and protocols acrossvarious healthcare facilities Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of
