Job Responsibilities:
Operate MRIequipment to capture diagnostic images of patients as per physicianorders, ensuring the highest image quality and patient safety.
Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process,addressing concerns, and positioning them correctly for accurateimaging. Monitor and assess patients during MRI procedures,ensuring their comfort and safety while adhering to all safetyprotocols. Maintain detailed and accurate records of procedures,including patient data, imaging results, and any observedabnormalities. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcareprofessionals to interpret and analyze images, ensuring accuratediagnosis and treatment plans. Perform routine maintenance on MRIequipment, troubleshooting any issues, and coordinating withtechnical support as needed. Adhere to radiation safety standardsand practices, including proper use of personal protectiveequipment and radiation dosimeters. Provide patient care byrecognizing and responding to emergency situations during imagingprocedures.
Job Requirements:
Strong understanding of MRI imagingprocedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols. Excellentcommunication skills to effectively interact with patients,families, and healthcare team members. Proficiency with computersand radiology information systems (RIS) for accurate data entry andimage management. Ability to perform physical tasks, includinglifting and positioning patients, operating MRI equipment, andstanding for extended periods. Certification as a RadiologicTechnologist (RT) with a specialization in MRI (ARRT-MR). Active[STATE] Radiology Technologist License in good standing. A minimumof 2 years of experience as a Radiology Tech – MRI or in a similarrole. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Certification inAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Experience with EPICor similar charting systems.
