Required Qualifications:
One year’s experience as Radiologic Technologist Current Radiologic Technologist/ Radiography license incompliance with state regulations Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications:
Current ARRT Certification Other certifications and licenses may be required for thisposition
Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist performs advancedimaging procedures using radiographic equipment to producehigh-quality images that aid physicians in diagnosing and treatingmedical conditions. They ensure patient safety, maintain equipmentfunctionality, and collaborate with healthcare teams to deliveraccurate and effective diagnostic results.
Essential Work Functions:
Educate patients about imaging procedures and answer questionsif they arise Prepare and operate advanced radiologic equipment to capturehigh-quality diagnostic images according to physician orders Maintains equipment and sterilizes the room in which proceduretakes place Prepare and operate advanced radiologic equipment to capturehigh-quality diagnostic images according to physician orders Evaluates images for quality, present images and preliminaryfindings to physicians and health care team Maintain and inspect imaging equipment for properfunctionality, troubleshooting issues and reporting malfunctions asneeded Document all imaging procedures and technical detailsaccurately in patient records Follows hospital safety rules and procedures includinginfection control and radiation safety protocols Performs other duties as assigned within the scope ofRadiologic Technologist practice
Required Essential Skills:
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonalcommunication skills The ability to read, write, & communicate in the Englishlanguage is required Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbalinstructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities
- Remain in a stationary position, moveabout, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
- To work effectively with a variety ofpersonnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positiveattitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills
- Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
