This position is a WEEKEND ONLY,Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

WEO Shift Diff is $15.00 additional.

Undergeneral supervision, evaluates and implements the care of adult andgeriatric patients undergoing mammography and breast relatedinvasive procedures.

Assesses assigned patients needs by reviewingthe radiology request, the patient’s medical history, admittingdiagnosis, and physician’s orders.

Assesses the patient’s physicalneeds, evaluates diagnostic data, and interviews the patient andfamily. Prioritizes imaging needs for an assigned group ofpatients.

Collaborates with other members of the health team todetermine patient care priorities. Assists in identifying complexpatient problems related to symptoms, behavioral changes, andabnormal diagnostic data. Evaluates patient’s response ofprocedural care delivery.

Practices radiation protection techniques.

Takes precautions to minimize patient and staff exposure tox-radiation.

Notifies supervisor of safety issues as they occur.

Assures continuity and quality of care through effectivedecision-making and continuous patient assessment.

Anticipatespotential patient crisis through continual evaluation of patientcare. Assists with appropriate care interventions for identifiedpatient problems.

Utilized standards of care and/or collaborativeclinical pathways to guide the radiologic procedure.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS

Must be a graduate of an accredited school ofRadiologic Technology and registered with the ARRT.They must have aminimum of two (2) years experience with one (1) year inMammography. Advanced certification in Mammography isrequired.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance withthe American Heart Association required.
