Overview:

As an Outpatient Radiologic Technologist you’ll performdiagnostic medical radiographic on patients of all ages. Performsother tasks related to the daily functions of the radiologydepartment and clinic. SchedulePRNQualifications:
Education:

Associates degreepreferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registry:

Current ARRTregistration and IEMA license for radiologic technologistrequired.

Maintains state required CME.Maintain valid BLS CPRcertification.

Experience:

Prior computer experiencepreferred.

Responsibilities:

Completes digital radiographic processaccording to professional guidelines and professionalstandards.

Schedules and coordinates exams, explaining proceduresand preparations to patients. Obtains and documents necessaryhistory and symptomology. Critiques technical quality of digitalimage.

Implements and oversees quality control (Q.C.) processes.

Makes adjustments to equipment as indicated by Q.C. test results ornotifies supervisor that service is required. Performs all Q.C.testing in accordance with regulatory requirements. Maintainsdocumentation of all Q.C. test results and actions taken inaccordance with regulatory requirements. Deals directly withphysicist support from MMC regarding all aspects of quality controlprograms.

Maintains x-ray and other equipment in efficient operatingorder; performs preventative maintenance on a regularly scheduledbasis; contacts outside service for major malfunctions. Reportsequipment malfunctions to supervisor. Request and orders suppliesas necessary to keep materials on hand at all times.
