If one major holiday falls in his/her assignmentperiod, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidaysfall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to workboth of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/herassignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of theholidays.

JobSummary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RadiologicTechnologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) tojoin our healthcare team. The MRI Technologist will play a crucialrole in providing accurate and high-quality imaging services toassist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This position requiresproficiency in operating MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety,and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and protocols.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care and Safety:
Prepare and educatepatients about the MRI procedure, addressing any questions orconcerns. Safely and accurately position patients for MRI scans,ensuring patient comfort and compliance with safety protocols.
Monitor patients during the MRI scan, addressing any issues ordiscomfort that may arise. Administer contrast agents whennecessary, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
Equipment Operation:
Operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuringoptimal performance and image quality. Perform routine equipmentchecks and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
Calibrate and adjust imaging parameters to obtain the requireddiagnostic images.
Image Acquisition and Quality Control:
Acquirehigh-quality MRI images while minimizing artifacts and motion blur.
Review and assess images to ensure they meet diagnostic standards,retaking scans if necessary. Maintain accurate patient records andimaging data, adhering to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with radiologists andother healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation ofimages. Communicate effectively with patients, explainingprocedures and addressing their concerns. Assist in developing andimplementing MRI protocols to optimize image quality and patientcare.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols andguidelines, including radiation safety and infection controlmeasures. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices,technological advancements, and regulatory changes in MRI imaging.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree inRadiologic Technology or related field. State licensure as aRadiologic Technologist, with specialization in
MRI. ARRT
(AmericanRegistry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in MRI. CPRcertification. Strong understanding of MRI equipment, imagingtechniques, and safety protocols. Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills. Attention to detail and the ability to workeffectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Knowledge ofHIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
PreferredQualifications:
Prior experience as an MRI Technologist. Additionalcertifications or advanced training in MRI. Experience with PACS(Picture Archiving and Communication System) and EMR (ElectronicMedical Record) systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand,walk, and lift heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds) as needed. Manualdexterity and visual acuity to operate equipment and positionpatients.
