Peachtree City, GA 30269 Mammography Technologist Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing mammographic imaging procedures to assist in the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases. You will work closely with patients, providing compassionate care while ensuring high-quality imaging results. Your expertise in medical imaging and understanding of anatomy will be essential in delivering accurate diagnostic evaluations. Responsibilities Perform mammographic scans using advanced imaging technology while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct thorough patient assessments and prepare patients for mammography procedures. Ensure proper positioning and technique to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. Maintain accurate records of patient information and imaging results. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in further evaluations. Uphold aseptic techniques and maintain a clean, safe working environment. Stay updated with advancements in medical imaging technology and best practices in mammography. Skills Proficient in diagnostic evaluation techniques related to mammography. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to radiology and imaging. Experience with CT imaging is a plus. Knowledge of procedures within a Level I Trauma Center is beneficial. Familiarity with various medical imaging modalities, including X-Ray. Solid anatomy knowledge to ensure accurate image acquisition and interpretation. Ability to apply aseptic techniques during procedures.
