Overview:

Radiology Technologist eligible for a sign-on bonus of$1,000. (New Hires) The Radiologic Technologist II worksindependently and/or assists physicians/APCs in the performance ofdiagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patientand operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnosticimages in the acute setting. The technologist is responsible forinpatient & outpatient procedures, the emergency room, fluoroscopy,portables, and the operating rooms. Qualifications:
Education :

Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program. Certificationrequired within 6 months of hire post-graduation from an accreditedRadiology Program, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.

Experience :

Minimum of one year experience in diagnosticradiology, preferred.

Licensure/Certification :

ARRT certificationin Radiography – RT(R), required. Applicable state licensure asrequired, required. Post-graduates from an accredited RadiologyProgram with be required to pass their ARRT registry within 6months of completing program, required.

Additional Skills Required:

Applies principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure topatient, self, and others. Demonstrates current knowledge offederal and state radiation safety laws. Properly utilizespersonnel monitoring devices. Ensures proper equipment performanceand schedules maintenance for emergent needs. Properly operatesradiographic and fluoroscopic equipment. Independently performsradiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures,including intraoperative and mobile procedures, as prescribed by alicensed practitioner. Assists a licensed practitioner in theperformance of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, includingall intraoperative and mobile procedures including the following:

ERCP’s, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, post reductions. Mobile imagingincluding lines and pacers and neonates.
