Required Qualifications:

Oneyear’s experience as a Mammography Tech Current state license incompliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC )

Preferred Qualifications:

Current ARRT CertificationOther certifications and licenses may be required for this position

Summary:

The Mammography Technologist implements orders fromphysicians and assists with procedures to help diagnose and treatbreast disease in patients. They perform screenings and diagnosticimaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment ofbreast diseases. They ensure accurate imaging, maintain compliancewith radiation safety standards, and provide compassionate care topatients. Working collaboratively with physicians and healthcareteams, they prioritize patient safety and comfort while maintaininghigh-quality imaging practices.

Essential Work Functions:

Explainsprocedure to patients and answers questions if they arise Positionspatient appropriately for imaging procedure Maintains medicalimaging equipment, ensures machines are functioning properly, andorganizes the procedure room for optimal safety and efficiencyMonitor image quality during procedures, adjusting as neededachieve diagnostic accuracy Collaborate effectively withradiologists and healthcare teams as necessary Follows hospitalpolicies, safety regulations, and infection control proceduresPractice infection prevention through consistent hand hygiene, useof PPE, and isolation precautions Performs other duties as assignedwithin the scope of practice for
