Senior CT Imaging Specialist Medical Office Gainesville, GA 30501 Job Summary The CT Technologist plays a vital role in the healthcare team, responsible for performing high-quality cardiac and vascular computed tomography (CT) scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This position requires a thorough understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The CT Technologist will ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to aseptic techniques and maintaining high standards of care. Duties Perform cardiac CT scans on patients according to established protocols and procedures. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging results. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring they are comfortable. Utilize medical imaging equipment safely and effectively, including X-Ray and nuclear medicine technologies. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to aseptic techniques at all times. Document patient information, scan results, and any relevant medical history accurately in the electronic health record system. Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and best practices in patient care. Assist in emergency room (ER) settings as needed, providing timely imaging services for urgent cases. Qualifications Certification as a Radiologic Technologist with specialized training in CT imaging is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to imaging procedures. Additional training in Nuclear Medicine and SPECT and PET imaging preferred but not required Familiarity with anatomy knowledge essential for accurate scanning and interpretation of images. Understanding of physiology knowledge relevant to patient conditions being scanned. Proficiency in operating various medical imaging equipment including CT scanners, X-Ray machines, and nuclear medicine devices. Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring patient safety. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members. This role is essential for delivering high-quality patient care through advanced imaging technology, requiring both technical expertise and compassionate interaction with patients.

$55.00 – $60.00 per hour
