TEMPORARY JOB APPOINTMENT
This position may be filled by temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.

Current permanent status classified State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment, if selected.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a current Louisiana Radiologic Technologist license or temporary permit.

To perform diagnostic radiological imaging services.

Close from Radiologic Technologist Supervisor or higher-level personnel.

Statewide in a hospital, education, health care, or correctional facility.
Job Distinctions:
Differs from Radiologic Technologist 2 by the absence of experienced-level duties.
Examples of Work
Performs daily equipment checks to ensure that all radiographic equipment is safe and ready to use.
Produces diagnostic radiographs and/or fluoroscopic images by selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
Differentiates between film, CR, and DR imaging formats and adjusts techniques accordingly.
Reviews images to ensure the image quality and patient positioning are within established standards.
Performs general image handling duties including processing of digital images and merging images.
Maintains stock and supplies in designated area.
Assists the physician as required.
