  • Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.

Work Experience Required

  • None. Preferred
  • Radiologic technologyexperience. Certifications Required
  • Registered by the AmericanRegistry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) OR American Registry ofRadiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry eligible, registered bythe American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 90days of employment, and temporary state license required.

Currentunrestricted license in the state of practice. Current Basic LifeSupport (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proficiency in usingcomputers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbaland written communication skills and ability to present informationclearly and professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend,holiday, on call availability) and travel throughout and betweenfacilities. Job Duties
  • Verifies physician order and procedure toensure accuracy.
  • Uses radiology information systems to facilitatecare.
  • Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
  • Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedureaccording to protocol (may include placement of nasogastric tubes,IVs, urinary catheters, and administration of contrast).
  • Reviewspatient images prior to transmission to ensure images meetdiagnostic quality standards.
  • Completes timely quality controlprocedures in accordance with regulatory standards and performingnotification/remediation as warranted.
  • Assists in thefacilitation of departmental operations (inventory, staffschedules, equipment maintenance, etc.).
  • Adapts behavior to thespecific patient population, including but not limited to respectfor privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adaptingexplanation of services or procedures to be performed, requestingpermissions and communication style.
  • Performs other relatedduties as required.
