Knowledge of anatomy and pathology withability to recognize normal from abnormal findings Basic scanningskills with good understanding of sonographic physics andtechniques Clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting-with some exposure to general, vascular, & OB-GYN sonographyPreferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will beconsidered first.
Additional certifications:
RVT, OB-GYN, ABExperience in the OR and with ultrasound procedures 1 year ofexperience beyond education List typical procedures performed onunit(s): Thoras, paras, FNAs (thyroids, parotids, lymph nodes),soft tissue masses or lymph node BXs, liver & renal BXs, drainages(abscesses, cysts, hematomas, gallbladders), thrombin injections,etc OR•breast needle placements, carotids, D&Cs, prostate BXsBest personality
