JOB SUMMARY

The CT Technologist performs diagnosticand therapeutic CT procedures according to established protocols toassist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Our CTTechnologists perform computed tomography (CT) procedures byselecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fieldswhile utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis toproduce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist theradiologist in diagnosis and treatment. Participates in complexinvasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist orPhysician’s Assistant using proper sterile technique and producingCT images.

Qualifications Education:

Graduate from an accreditedRadiography program

Licensure, Certification, Registration:

Connecticut state Radiographer license required. Basic Life Support(BLS)

Experience:

6 months experience in Radiology hospital settingpreferred. Working knowledge of CT Technology and venipuncture.
