Travel CT Technologist Job DescriptionPositionSummary:
A CT Technologist, or CT Tech, is responsible forperforming diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomographyequipment. They play a key role in patient care by producinghigh-quality images used by physicians to diagnose and treatmedical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and positionpatients for CT scans, ensuring safety and comfort.
Operate CTequipment to acquire high-resolution images.
Administer contrastmedia under the direction of a radiologist or physician.
Monitorpatients during procedures to ensure safety and properimaging.
Review and evaluate images for clarity and diagnosticquality.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentationmeets regulatory standards.
Adhere to radiation safety protocols andinfection control procedures.
Communicate effectively with patients,radiologists, and healthcare teams.
Maintain equipment and reportany issues to ensure functionality and compliance.
Stay updated onindustry best practices and continuing educationrequirements.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree inRadiologic Technology or a related field.
Completion of anaccredited radiologic technology program.
ARRT (American Registry ofRadiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography.
AdvancedARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred orrequired by some employers.
BLS (Basic Life Support)certification.
