RequirementsCompletion of a two year approved School of Radiologic TechnologyValid state radiology registration as required by state law Twoyears of Mammographic Technologist experience preferred, ideally ina critical care setting. Registry by the American Registry ofRadiologic Technology. Prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion ofintricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
Produce high quality films for the radiologist to evaluate.
Complete patient education regarding the exam. Assure compliancewith federal, state, and local technical and professionalregulations and accepted practiced guidelines. Delivers quality,cost effective patient care in a professional manner. Workseffectively to maintain an environment of excellence, which ispatient focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patientcare. Promotes and maintains a safe work environment for both staffand customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
