RequiredQualifications:
One year’s recent experience as an InterventionalRadiology Technologist Valid ARRT, or
RCIS/RCES
Certification incompliance with state regulations Current BLS certification(AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications:
Current ACLS certification(AHA/ARC) Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliancewithin state regulations PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification Othercertifications or licenses may be required for this position
Summary:
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist assistsphysicians in performing minimally invasive procedures usingadvanced imaging technology. This role involves preparing patientsand equipment, operating fluoroscopic and other imaging modalities,and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. TheIR Technologist works closely with the interventional radiologistand healthcare team to support complex vascular and non-vascularprocedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Essential WorkFunctions:
Prepare and position patients for interventionalradiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety Operate imagingequipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to guideprocedures Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterileprocedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile fieldMonitor and document patient vital signs and procedural detailsAdminister contrast media and monitoring for adverse reactionsEnsure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, andself Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuringreadiness for procedures Manage and restock procedural supplies,including catheters, guidewires, and contrast agents Collaboratewith radiologists, nurses, and other team members to provideseamless patient care Follow all infection control, safety, andregulatory protocols Provide patient education before, during, andafter procedures Perform other duties as assigned to support IR laboperations Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection controlguidelines, and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills:
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonalcommunication skills The ability to read, write, & communicate inthe English language is required Ability to read/comprehend writteninstructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PCskills Physical Abilities
- Remain in a stationary position, moveabout, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bendingInterpersonal Skills
- To work effectively with a variety ofpersonnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positiveattitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills
- Ability tograsp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move aboutwhen assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.

- Must be able to cope with frequent contactwith the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines underpressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionallyas well as working without assistance from other personnel.
