- Friday, between the hoursof 7:30 am

Float (Worcester, Shrewsbury,Auburn, Westborough, Milford, Southborough) The radiologytechnologist follows general direction from the Supervisor and/orSenior Technologist and utilizes independent judgment to provideradiological services to patients while adhering to departmentorganizational policies, procedures and standards.
PrimaryResponsibilities:
- Routinely provides radiographic diagnosticservices by operating imaging equipment and other equipment/devicesas necessary.
Evaluates radiographs for technical quality and seeksadvice when necessary. Troubleshoots and problem solves certainfactors before calling service. Operates all generators andequipment. Produces quality Radiographs and conforms to departmentstandards. Makes a conscientious effort to show any cases to aradiologist upon finding suspicious abnormalities. Uses developerand fixer types appropriately
- Maintains sound employee radiationsafe practices that are in compliance with ALARA and the standardsset by the State of Massachusetts
- Maintains or reports onestablished supply shelf levels for the department.
Stocks androtates stocks on shelves with replacements when supplies arrive.
Utilizes LIFO (last in, first out) method of inventory
- Checks thesupplies in the department on a daily basis and communicates lowstock levels
- Initiates life support measures, if necessary.
Possesses a workable knowledge of the “Code Blue” protocol.
Possesses a workable knowledge of the “Nurse Call” system. Knowswhere the code cart and other emergency supplies are kept.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills required to perform processesinvolved in the delivery of age-appropriate care. Provides careappropriate to the patient population served
- Providesradiographic diagnostic services by operating the C-arm and otherequipment/devices as necessary.
Evaluates scouts and spot imagingfor technical quality and positioning. Troubleshoots and problemsolves certain factors before calling service. Produces qualityimaging to aid doctor in pain procedures and conforms to departmentstandards You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance inan environment that will challenge you and give you clear directionon what it takes to succeed in your role as well as providedevelopment for other roles you may be interested in.
RequiredQualifications:
- Completion of a two-year program with accreditedschool of Radiologic Technology with an Associate Degree orCertificate
- Valid license from the Commonwealth ofMassachusetts’s a registered Radiology Technology
- In goodstanding with the ASRT and ARRT
- Knowledge of various softwareapplications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Provenexcellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualification:
- EMR experience (EPIC)
- Current CPRcertification
- Orthopedics Experience The hourly range for thisrole is $23.
70 to $46.35 per hour based on full-time employment.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to locallabor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
