Join us and start doing your life’s best work.(sm) Reliant Medical Group has an opening for a per-diem CT Tech. Hours may consist of weekdays and weekends until 9 pm based on location.

Position Summary:

Utilizes independent judgment to provide CT services to patients while adhering to all department and organizational policies, procedures and standards

Primary Responsibilities:

Routinely provides CT diagnostic services by operating imaging equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate
Follows established protocols for each specific scan
Ability to troubleshoot all equipment
Evaluates diagnostic images for technical quality and seeks advice when necessary.
Competent to perform CT procedures on children, adults and geriatric population
Maintains good patient and employee radiation safety practices that are in compliance with ALARA and the standards set by the State of MA.
Questions all female of childbearing age about pregnancy and documents
Checks and cross references patients ID before beginning procedure
Properly reviews patient charts for correct name and lab values
Demonstrates the ability to recognize contrast reactions. Documents the type and amount of all contrast used for each procedure
Demonstrates the proficiency in using the contrast injector
Maintains CPR certification
Maintains appropriate patient records and assists in all clerical/support procedures as required. Demonstrates working knowledge of the computers and file room
Practices concepts of total quality management/improvements
Assumes care for physical and psychological needs of patients during examinations and procedures
Complies with health and safety requirements and with regulatory agencies such as DPH, etc.
Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives
Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of a two-year program in an AMA accredited school of Radiology Technology
Cross sectioned anatomy certificate
1+ years of experience in Radiology
