Required Qualifications:

Oneyear of recent experience as a CT Technologist Valid Radiologylicense in compliance with state regulations Current BLScertification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications:

Current ARRTCertification Other certifications and licenses may be required forthis position

Summary:

The CT Tech operates computerized tomography(CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients’ bodiesfor diagnostic purposes. They prepare patients for the procedure,position patients with considerations for safety and imageaccuracy, ensure proper imaging protocols are followed, and workclosely with radiologists to obtain high-quality images foraccurate diagnosis. CT Techs also maintain equipment, keep patientrecords, and follow safety procedures to minimize radiationexposure and provide compassionate care to patients throughout theimaging process.

Essential Work Functions:

Operate CT equipment toproduce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue fordiagnostic purposes Prepare patients for procedures, explainimaging process, and position patients appropriately Setappropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomyand pathology Provide high-quality images to Radiologist forinterpretation Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospitalpolicies to ensure patient and staff safety Perform routinemaintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure properfunctionality Document patient information, imaging parameters, andprocedural details accurately in the hospital’s system Collaboratewith radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionalsto deliver timely diagnostic services Ability to adapt to differentCT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilitiesPerform other duties as assigned within the scope of

CT Techpractice Required Essential Skills:

Critical thinking, serviceexcellence and good interpersonal communication skills The abilityto read, write, & communicate in the English language is requiredAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbalinstructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities

• Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment(50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
• Towork effectively with a variety of personnel (professional andancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills
• Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
• Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public,customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure.
