Summary:
The Lead CT Technologist role is responsible for preparing, setting up, and operating the CT scanner following specific physician orders. They are also responsible for producing detailed computer-generated scans of a patient’s head/body for diagnostic and interventional information, as well as keeping abreast of all new procedures in the CT department. Performs lead responsibilities, including training team members, monitoring performance, and coordinating daily operations.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 1.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology required. 2.
License/Certifications:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certificate and applicable state(s) license as a Radiologic Technologist required. Advanced certification by the ARRT in CT obtained within two years of start date or according to local health system requirements. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. 3.
Experience:
Three years of CT experience in a hospital setting preferred. Basic IV skills preferred. 4.
