Work where you matter. A Brief Overview Accountable for the proficient operations of the radiographic andCT equipment to provide clinically diagnostic images as directed byphysicians. What you will do Performs various radiology procedures accurately, efficientlyand according to established standards and protocols. Initiates proper intervention to radiologist or referringpractitioner when an exam indicates immediate attention. Reviews appropriate indications for exams ordered and reportsinappropriate indications to supervisor. Provides exam data in a complete and accurate format forpresentation to reading radiologist for interpretation. Utilizes computer systems such as

PACS, RIS, HIS EMR

systemsand performs general clerical duties. Archives image data for permanent storage and appropriatelysends images to radiologist group. Retrieves stored images formPACS or disc back-up and make CDs successfully. Demonstrates an understanding of medical and legal implicationsand responsibilities related to the imagine reports and images toprotect the patient and the organization. Maintains established department policies, procedures,objectives, quality assessment, safety, and environment andinfection control. Assists/mentors staff/student with on the job training,clinical rotations and orientation. Assists with analysis, collection and maintenance of records asrequired by department manager, Quality Improvement, JointCommission, MDH, ACR standards, OSHA guidelines or as may berequired by the facility or law.
