Role:

A Narrative of Impact and Care As a Per Diem MRI Technologist at PeaceHealth, you’ll be an essential part of our diagnostic imaging team, playing a crucial role in providing accurate and timely information that guides patient care. This isn’t just about operating equipment; it’s about connecting with patients, understanding their needs, and ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout their MRI experience. You’ll utilize your expertise to perform a wide range of routine and specialized MRI procedures, meticulously preparing exam rooms, integrating patient histories, and adapting exams to ensure the highest quality images. Your keen eye and ability to recognize abnormalities will be vital in ensuring additional studies are applied when necessary. Beyond the technical aspects, you’ll be a source of patient education, providing clear instructions and empathetic support, and even contribute to training and educating staff and students. This variable position offers flexibility, allowing you to contribute your skills while maintaining a work-life balance that suits your needs.

The salary range for this position is $45.42 – $67.85 per hour, with the hiring rate determined by several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Plus, a 15% differential is available in lieu of benefits. Key Responsibilities:

Your Daily Impact Prepare, supply and equip exam room to meet the needs of requested examinations and to meet specific physician requirements for procedures. Organizes daily work schedule and performs related clerical duties as required. Integrates previous imaging studies, laboratory results, patient history and medical records to optimize exam. Perform most appropriate examination based on patient information through consultation with interpreting physician and/or ordering physician as necessary. Provides patient education and instruction prior to and after examination. Provide training/education to staff and students as indicated. Demonstrates ability to adapt exam to address problems of patient care as they arise making decisions to appropriately resolve problems. Recognizes and ensures additional study and examination techniques are applied when abnormalities are present.
