Job Summary:

Performs specialized imaging procedures such as angio,complex vascular and nonvascular and neuro interventional andtherapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.The only registration requirement for this position is Radiography.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESPrepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technicalparameters accurately. Prepares and administers contrast media andmedications within the accepted scope of practice and applicablestate and federal regulations. Observes patient during procedureand reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommendsupdates or refinements as warranted. Follows radiation safetyprocedures and guidelines. Ensures all activities comply withregulatory agency standards. Works in a constant state of alertnessand safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATIONAssociate’s degree or completion of a radiology certificationprogram

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constant standing and walking. Frequent use of vision and depthperception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feetor more). Frequent use of hearing and speech to share informationthrough oral communication. Frequent use of hearing to distinguishbody sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25lbs. Frequent lifting/moving of patients. Frequent reaching,gripping and keyboard use/data entry. Occasional lifting/carryingand pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Occasional use ofvision to identify and distinguish colors. Occasional bending,stooping, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/armmovements. Rare kneeling and sitting.
