Description:

This position involves working in a radiology department thatprovides mammography services. The department performs bothscreening mammograms and diagnostic imaging. Screening includesstandard procedures, as well as provision for patients with specialneeds. Diagnostic duties may involve breast scans and procedures.

The average number of diagnostic scans is approximately 14 per day,with each scan scheduled every 30 minutes. Screening averages rangefrom 18-21 in an 8-hour shift and 21-25 in a 10-hour shift.

Department equipment includes Hologic machines used for bothscreening and diagnostic purposes. Shift times for screeninginclude 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with various 8-hour shift schedules. Noweekend or holiday requirements apply to this position. Scrubs canbe of any color, provided they are clean and professional.

Unit-specific orientation will occur over 2-3 shifts in addition togeneral orientation. No IV starts or call requirements are expectedfor this role.
