Radiology- Mammography General certification requirements include BLS. ARRTand Mammography certification are required. Experience with bothscreening and diagnostic procedures is essential. Common imagingprocedures include standard screenings, implants, and 4Dmammograms. Diagnostic breast scans and related procedures may beperformed. Staff will not float between screening and diagnosticareas. The average number of diagnostic scans is 14 per day.

Screening scans range from 18-25 depending on the shift length. EMRutilized is Epic. PACS system in use is Change. Department specificequipment includes Hologic for screenings and diagnostics. A leadtechnician is available but may not be onsite. Screens are batchread with images reviewed and reported out later. IV starts are notrequired in this role. Shifts vary, with no weekend or holidayrequirements. Scrubs may be any color, provided they are clean andprofessional. There are 2-3 shifts of unit-specificorientation.
