Overview:
The Student CT/MR Technologist maintains regulatoryand professional standards and exhibits strong decision-makingcapabilities, under the supervision of a registered ComputedTomography/Magnetic Resonance (CT/MR) Technologist. This positionis responsible for delivering exceptional care to patientsundergoing CT/MR procedures, following approved workflows andprocedural protocols. The Student CT/MR Technologists assists withoperating CT/MR equipment, which is crucial for maintainingaccuracy and efficiency in diagnostic imaging processes. This rolecontributes to the delivery of high-quality patient care anddiagnostic imaging services while gaining hands-on experience andknowledge under the guidance of a registered CT/MR Technologist.
Responsibilities:
Assists with patient transport as necessary toensure smooth and efficient flow of patients within the imagingdepartment, prioritizing patient comfort and safety. Supports thecompletion of exams and documentation in Picture Archiving andCommunication System (PACS) to maintain accurate and comprehensiverecords for efficient retrieval and review by radiologists andother healthcare providers. Demonstrates commitment to safepractices, following established protocols to avoid errors andensure patient and staff safety, while actively participating incontinuous education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Assists with the performance of routine and special CT/MR examsconsistent with established protocols, minimizing the need forrepeat examinations and ensuring timely and accurate diagnosticimaging results for healthcare providers to make informeddecisions. Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growthand development, participating in annual competency assessmentswithin the designated timeframe to maintain and enhance skillsnecessary for providing high-quality CT/MR imaging services.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING
BLS(CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
