Job Summary and Qualifications The Multi-ModalityImaging Technologist is required to perform invasive andnon-invasive procedures on a variety of patients per the needs ofthe modality/department. The Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist isrequired to utilize sterile techniques, if necessary, operatecomplex imaging equipment and assist physicians as necessary.
Continuing education, learned skills and experience will beutilized. This position will function without constant supervisionto produce superior quality imaging studies. The Multi-ModalityTechnologist must routinely work within a minimum of two qualifyingmodalities as directed by department managers/supervisors to meetthe specific needs of the department. Performs all duties relatingto the specific primary an d post primary imaging modalities inwhich they are working. This includes Diagnostic, CT, MRI, NuclearMedicine, and Ultrasound. Mammography & Bone Densitometry.
Whatqualifications you will need:
Required Education:
Graduate of an accredited Joint ReviewCommittee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT)program.
Required License:
ARRT registered and hold post primarycertification in a minimum of 1 additional qualifying discipline inwhich exams will be performed in the role of Multi-ModalityTechnologist OR must obtain registry and have current certificationon credentialing website for specified imaging modality withinspecific timeframe as follows; a. CT 6-9 months, b. Mammography 12months, c.
MRI 12-18
months Completes requirements for CEU forre-certification. BLS certified.
Required Experience:
Previous experience in a multi-disciplinedRadiology Department.
Preferred Experience:
Two years previous experience in anadvanced discipline.
