JobSummary:

/n Schedules and prepares patients for all routine andspecialty imaging procedures and exams. Works on routineassignments within defined parameters, established guidelines andprecedents. /n

• High School Education/GED or equivalent:

• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalentcombination of education/related experience: Preferred /n /n/n/n

Essential Functions:

/n /n

• Screens and schedules all radiologyprocedures and exams, pulmonary function tests and firstappointment nuclear stress tests (NSTs). Communicates with patientsand/or family members in order to relay instructions and protocolsfor scheduled exams or procedures. Diffuses emotionally-chargedcustomer relations as needed. /n
• Obtains, inputs and verifies allnecessary demographics, diagnostics, authorizations, physicianorders, special instructions and insurance information.

Accommodates special needs and other patient requirements. Adheresto Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) andother patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations. /n

• Maintains a high productivity standard and minimizes caller waitand hold times. Reschedules appointments according to patientand/or physician requests and equipment downtime. Communicates allscheduling backlogs, barriers or issues to supervisor. /n
• Greetsand registers patients upon check-in, ushers patients to dressingand exam rooms and transports patients as needed. /n
• Serves asliaison between physician offices, radiology staff, support staffand business offices. /n
• Performs other job-related duties asassigned.
