Mammography Tech Assistant Women’s Wellness Center 2950 Village Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304 Mammography Technologist Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team. The Mammography Tech Assistant supports the mammography department by performing administrative and clerical tasks. This role ensures smooth scheduling, patient flow, and accurate documentation to maintain high-quality patient care and compliance with health regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule mammogram screenings appointments as needed Prepare upcoming patient charts and ensure all necessary forms are completed Greet patients and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner Answer incoming calls and manage voicemail related to mammography services Provide appointment reminders and necessary pre-procedure instructions Clerical & Documentation Maintain and update patient records and imaging reports in the system File and fax reports to appropriate physicians Assist with obtaining prior mammography records when needed Compliance & Confidentiality Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other medical privacy regulations Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times Team Collaboration Work closely with mammography technologists and clinical staff Assist in tracking follow-up recommendations and recalls Provide support during accreditation processes or audits (e.g., MQSA)

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required) Medical office or radiology experience preferred Proficiency in medical terminology and EMR systems Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
