In acollaborative manner, the Radiologic Technologist will providesupport to Medical Providers, Medical Assistants, and patientsthrough a variety of tasks related to patient care management,organization, and communication. The Radiologic Technologist (RT)collaborates with Medical Providers and/or a Medical Assistantswith the examination and treatment of GoHealth Urgent Care patientsand is responsible for the following

  • Providing a variety oftechnical procedures and apply prescribed ionizing radiation forradiologic diagnosis for our GoHealth Urgent Care patients
  • -Performing and analyzing patient x-rays and reporting resultsto Medical Providers.
  • -Additional responsibilities includeproviding administrative support to ensure efficient operation ofGoHealth Urgent Care Centers.

  • -High SchoolDiploma required
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologyprogram required.
  • Work Experience
  • -Experience in a clinicalsetting preferredRequired Licenses/Certifications
  • -Basic LifeSupport (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through theAmerican Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association(AHA)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)registration required at time of hire.
  • -EssentialFunctions
  • -Responsible for x-ray services as needed.
  • -Under thedirection of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services forpatients by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis ortreatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly
  • -Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front ofequipment and protected during use.
  • Patient Registration
  • Conduct patient registration, which includes securing requiredpaperwork and insurance documentation, and verification ofinsurance and patient eligibility.
  • -Process co-pays and schedulepatient appointments for assigned center.
  • -Coordinate providerreferrals to assigned Specialist.
  • -Answer patient questionsregarding their care and keep them informed of their status
  • Patient Preparation and Rooming
  • -Inform technical staff ofpatient flow.
  • -Prepare patients for examination, which includesconducting interviews to verify patient information, record medicalhistory; confirm purpose of visit;
  • -Perform preliminary physicaltest (blood pressure, weight, temperature, etc.) for vital signsand escalate critical cases to provider as needed.
  • -Conductpoint of care testing as needed (i.e., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG,HCG); and provide patient information to provider.
  • Stocking
  • Stocking supplies and maintenance of exam rooms, front desk,and reception area; ensure providers have medical supplies needed
  • -Completing order sheets to maintain supply inventory levels;regularly check expiration dates on supplies.
  • Administrative
  • Maintenance of medical records and scanning charts to patientfiles.
  • -Answer phone calls, collect and sort daily incoming andoutgoing postal correspondence.
  • -Ensure reception is wellmaintained.
  • -Conduct courtesy call-backs for patient follow-upon care.
  • -Perform opening and closing duties, which includescashing out, end-of-day communication, and securing the building
  • -Follow operating instructions to perform and document dailycontrols and calibration of equipment; maintain QualityAssurance/Quality Control logs for equipment troubleshootbreakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repairtickets as needed.
