JobSummary:

Utilizes computerized tomography (CT) scanners to producecross-section images of patient’s internal organs and tissues fordiagnosis of medical issues. Provides clinical care efficiently andeffectively using a high level of technical and organizationalskills as well as critical thinking ability./n /n

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:
  • Associate’s degree in
Radiologic Technology:

Preferred /n

  • Three years’ CT technologistexperience: Preferred /n
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Registered bythe
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists:

R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required /n

  • Radiologic Tech (RT)in the state of practice: Required in CA /n
  • Advancedcertification in the modality of
CT:

Required in OR and HI,Preferred in CA /n

  • Basic Life Support (BLS
OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS

)certification: Required /n

  • Fluoroscopy license: Preferred in CAand OR /n
  • Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR /n
  • Basic Life Support (BLS
OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS

) certification:

  • ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) or ARRT-Computed Tomography(ARRT-CT): Required /n
Facility Specific License/Certifications:
  • Venipuncture (IV) certification: Required /n
Essential Functions:
  • Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients rangingin age from adolescence through geriatric. /n
  • Produces sagittaland coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation. /n
  • Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images tothe appropriate location. /n
  • Ensures department, equipment andstaffing meet requirements set forth by any accreditationmaintained by facility (JCAHO, ACR, State Licensures, etc.). Leadsand is responsible for the process of accreditation with thesegoverning bodies for the specific modality. /n
  • Plans the dailypatient workload to accommodate patients. Provides adequatestaffing to accommodate patient workload, while covering vacationsand sick days. /n
